My Curly Hair Routine
My curly hair routine has suffered quite a few changes over the four years I have been natural (or sometimes not so natural). I have finally found a routine that can give me three days of a wash and go and enough volume to keep my somewhat Texas like craving for it satisfied. I have low porosity 3a hair that is medium density. I do this routine twice a week.
The products that I use:
Devacurl Low-Poo
Devacurl One Condition Decadence
Devacurl B'Leave in
Devacurl Ultra defining gel
I bought all of these at Ulta

First I get in the shower and use the Low-Poo with a scalp massager on my scalp and then I rinse and apply the One Condition in the mid to ends of my hair and then rinse.
I leave all of the water in my hair so that it is dripping wet and then I comb my hair with a wide toothed comb and flip it over.
While my hair is flipped over, I spread it out around my head and apply a quarter sized amount of the B'Leave in to my hair by smoothing it over and then I do the same exact thing with the Ultra Defining Gel.
After applying the product I scrunch with a t-shirt and then plop with the same t-shirt.
While my hair is in the t-shirt I sit under my hooded dryer for 10-15 minutes and then take my hair gently out of the t-shirt and sit under the dryer for 5-10 more minutes.
After this is done I diffuse my hair to finish drying it, add volume, and break the gel cast.
After this which takes me about an hour I will have soft, defined voluminous curls.
I will post separate posts on my methods of plopping and diffusing.
Thank you so much for reading my curly hair routine. Enjoy!!! <3 Rachel
